Alternate Trails138 viewsSome of the trails offer more fun trails, like this one of my son running up a dried up creek bed. You have to be careful to stay on authorized trails, as some are just where people run where they want to and tear things up.airforceret

Bull Canyon106 viewsSometimes even the wide, well traveled roads will suddenly present a small obstacle. That grows larger as you get closer.airforceret

Bull Canyon - Gemini Bridges95 viewsThe Bull Canyon trail will lead you to the base of Gemini Bridges. It was really cool to see it from both angles. From left to right is my son, my brother, and me.airforceret

Delores River Overlook93 viewsThis was taken at he end of the Delores River Overlook trail. It's a long way out to this overlook, so the trail can be a little overgrown at times. If you're not willing to take on a couple scratches, I'd not recommend this trail. However, the view overlooking the river is incredible. There are no rails or safety restraints... you leanna to far, you falla long way! airforceret

Delores River Overlook92 viewsLooking out over one of the feeder canyons. BLML warns off roaders to stay off these canyon roads during rainfall due to the overwhelming volume of water that rushes through these canyons. airforceret

Delores River Overlook90 viewsThis is a view of the Delores River and canyon. I don't recall how far it is, but when you throw big rocks over the edge... You never hear them hit bottom! So it's a long way... airforceret

Dinosaur Tracks111 viewsMy one disappointment, albeit exciting, was the dinosaur tracks! I was expecting something out of Jurassic Park, and as you can see, these tracks are for a pretty scrawny little dino..... These are the one's at the Poison Spider trailhead.airforceret

Gemini Bridges100 viewsThere are two arches that are side by side, with just a few feet separating them. Looking down through the arches, is Bull Canyon, another great trail and view looking up at Gemini Bridges. Driving on the arches is prohibited due to the death of a jeeper that fell off, but you can see fresh rubber marks where some still dare to drive out there. I was quite content to just be walking out there, and in fact had to take a seat once when the wind suddenly started blowing about 70 mph.airforceret

Going Down!102 viewsI remembered a valuable lesson here about approach angles going up vs going down! When I dropped the rear axle off this one, I landed on the rear bumper/hitch. The good news, I knew enough to gas it a little to clear the gas tank that my son insisted i was going to smash (which I"m sure I would have).airforceret

Long Canyon Trail97 viewsWhen they say watch for falling rock, you may be surprised by the size of some of these rocks! airforceret

Long Canyon Trail104 viewsAs you can see the rock is significantly larger than a vehicle! BLM warned that only one vehicle should pass beneath the fallen rock at a time, and to maintain a safe distance while vehicles are pass beneath the rock in case the rock should decide to shift and fall. airforceret

Long Canyon Trail95 viewsThis is a view looking down into Long Canyon at the top of the trail. We went all the way down to the canyon floor and out the other end. This canyon is off limits during rain.airforceret

Long Canyon Trail102 viewsThis may not seem that narrow, but it was steep and slippery, much more so than the picture makes it look. When it rains, this trail can be flowing with 20 or 30 feet of water raging down it. airforceret

On Top of the World109 viewsFrom my 2008 trip to Moab. We make the mecca here on every Moab trip. You can drive out on the rock and it's about 1200 feet down beneath the rock ledge. Not for the faint hearted or those afraid of heights.airforceret

Onion Creek Trail110 viewsRule number one, when splashing through creeks, be sure you understand how deep, how much splash, and oh yeah, how wet you really want to get when the doors and top are off! Fortunately, only the CB radio shorted out, and it was warm enough to dry out... that is after wringing out their wet clothes. Was a great splash though! I tought my kid well...airforceret

Onion Creek Trail96 viewsAfter showing my son how to properly make the big splash, he successfully performed this big splash, and then realized they had the doors and top off! Thoroughly drenching them and everything on board!airforceret

Petroglyphs94 viewsThere are several places where you can see the petroglyphs from the road, and some where you can pull over and climb up to see them up close. Some are so small, they are not visible from the road, and it's only after you climb up there you and explore you begin to find them. This was way cool to me! airforceret
