marine battery???

time for a new battery in the xj, I was thinking about putting a deep cycle marine battery in it, anyone know the pro's or con's of doing this? will the stock alternator charge it properly, and is there any other mods i would have to do??? don't know squat about marine stuff......... any help or suggestions would be appreciated

optima blue top. or yellow top. top notch.

blue top got me through 1/2 of trail 3 morning ride with no alternator

marine batteries are no good for auto's, they are designed to be charged, then run down, not a constant charge.

thanks this helps, wasn't exactly wanting to spend the money for blue top just yet.

Go with the yellow top it has the best of both worlds. It's a combination of both.
