Wiper issue

Postby SallySahara04 » January 31st, 2011, 5:08 pm

My driver side wiper hasn't been cleaning my windshield in about 2 months. I've replaced the blades, gotten "whiper snuggies" and have bought new springs, but I cant seem to get the old ones off. Any other ideas on what I can try??

Are you trying to replace the springs? Or have you and your still having problems? . Do you have the open design wiper blades? .they could be freezing up and not allowing the blade to contact the windshield. Or are you trying to remove the whole arm and replace the springs?. There a small lever on the wiper arm near the base that has to slide open the release the whole arm.

Thanks for the info. I tried changing the springs but couldn't get them out. The driver's side spring is visibly more stretched than the passenger side.
Got a really good deal on new arms with wipers, so planning on changing them when they get here.
