Tilted Kilt

Postby Blueprint Ben » May 17th, 2011, 9:45 am

Is the club open to having a Meet and Greet at the Tilted Kilt.

food , beer and employees are better than hooters (my opinion only)

I had a quick conversation with a shift manager and she said she thought someone from the club was already talking to them about getting it set up.

X3 on that IDEA!
However I think someone told me that they dont have thier "own" parking lot to reserve for "JEEPS ONLY"...
Good idea, may be a hard sell - if we can't control part of the lot (so to speak).

Anyway, I hope it can be worked out...

Maybe have a word with whoever owns the building? There's still quite a bit of land open around there. And dirt hills.

They roped off the little back lot to the right of the building last Thursday for bike night. I didn't count full size parking spots, but there has to be like 20-30.

yep , i forgot to mention that.

yes they already have a bike night at that location. i remember hooters started with only bike night then we worked our way in. im hoping we can do the same at this new location. even if we were to do both locations each month during the summer. staggered every 2 weeks or something.

they should already have things set up internally to deal with an outdoor section since they have bike night. i dont know if they currently do cornhole or anything like that but hopefully they are open to discussion with our club.

and yes there is some undelveloped grass areas back there. maybe we could find out who owns it and request permission to park on it.

anyway this only came to my attention because my son wanted to go there before he shipped out on monday (he's a Navy boy now). it was my first time and man the food was really good, and we had alot of fun. also there were other aspects of our visit that were way better than any visit to hooters.

Somebody should really pay attention to how they handle clubs there. I totally agree that the food is better at the Kilt but, I don't think we would have the same experience as Hooter's with being able to walk up to outdoor tables and meander in the parking lot to check out the rigs. I know Slatman has talked to them about this but, he doesn't think it would be as entertaining. Who knows? We can try it and see how it goes too!

I agree with Slatman, I think we should keep the Hooters "gig". Hooters is very "traditional" like Jeep :D !!lol
But it would not hurt to try a Kilt thing just once tho.

ah i had not attended any club events there, that lot restrictive info is good to know. i was curious as to if anyone had looked into it yet. i agree if we wouldnt be allowed to meander about in the lot it would not be as fun as hooters.

If this is to be a club sactioned thing, someone would have to get the OK through Slatyman to move forward.
At the moment, I dont believe anyone is looking into it - Slatyman may have already looked into it???
