I've built all the bumpers for my Jeeps...
My 93: This is the front obviously, and the back was just a standard 2x4x3/16
My XJ: built both bumpers, the rear was stout, unibody tie ins, 1/4 mounts, 3/16 for the rest. In retrospect, the tire carrier should NOT have been 3/16.
On the XJ, Ghetto Cowl induction I call it.. Longer hood bolts with some nuts used as spacers...

Cop Beacon
I'm still getting the parts together but I notice how alot of wranglers put off road driving lights up near the windshield. Well, the other day I'm out behind Notre Dame PD having a cig and I'm looking at the cop cars beacons. I could do that on the wrangler, plus they can be aimed in different areas on the trail, or if a buddy sitting next to me in his Jeep needs light to fix a tire or whatever. I'm gonna put one on each side. Like I said, still getting parts and doing research, but It will be done and it WILL look cool and it will be very usefull, no just a pretty.

The t-case drop that came on it was just 2 poly/plastic(?) pucks on each side. I had some scrap 1 1/2" square tube and cut some to 6" long, drilled holes, mounted and painted. 2 of the bolts were snapped off, so I also welded the drop where needed and bolted the crossmember to the drop. Seems more solid now.......

I made a Rack to mount to the tailgate using the Bestop HighRock 4X4™ Universal Rack Tray:
My Custom Gusset:
From the back side:
I made this so I could slide the rack off when not using it. I won't be able to carry a full cooler of beer or anything
but some extra bulky stuff will be nice. When I can afford it I will add a swing out tire carrier.
