oil pressure question

on y way to work this morning i noticed my pressure was way up. i just changed the oil less than 500 miles ago. first thing i thought was that i put too much in. not the case. plus it wasnt smoking. would this be a sending unit problem or a pump problem. at idle it used to run around 30-40 now it runs 40-50. under power it used to be 40-50 and now its 50-70. is there a problem or am i just getting worried for nothing.
