3M Label & Lettering removal products

Post by green50gt »

Alright, I really dont know what to call these things, but 3M makes these bits I will call them that can fit into the end of a drill and you can remove any kind of vinyl lettering, pinstriping, etc. from any smooth surface and it doesnt hurt the paint at all. Basically they look like shammie's I guess, pretty cool, Ive had a sign place in goshen remove stuff for me before, but he wont tell me where he gets the things. Anybody have any ideas on where I might get such a thing? I am tired removing all my pinstriping and molding adhesive the old school way...and scratching the paint.

Thanks.

i normally use 08978 3m adhesive remover its in a qt bottle, squirt it on and then use a plastic razor blade to wipe it off, the eraser is mainly used on pinstripe tape , not neccesarily side moulding tape , sorry to steer ya in the wrong direction

Derek I used Acetone on a rag to soften and help clean the residue from the body moldings. It wont hurt cured paint.
