ideas for a soft top cherokee

im really considering making a soft top cherokee. or adding a little sun roof or somethin. just looking to make it more custom. anyone have some easy ideas

Cutting the roof off of a XJ and easy don't go together... Being that the XJ is a unibody, the body is essentially part of the frame. If you cut off the roof, you will need to find a way to support whats left of the body. XJs are known for doors not want to close or doors poping open when you start twisting the body during off roading. Cutting the roof off would only make that issue even worst. A basic cage would deff. need to be on the list if you do cut the roof off. If your looking to go custom, take the doors off and make some tube doors or maybe notch out the doors like Shaun did on his cheap XJ build.

ok i have known about the unibody part. but what about a sun roof or somethin. and i also thought theyhad bracing up there to help keep everything where it should be and not rely on a weak piece of sheet metal
