H1 winch
not sure if you already figured this out or not - but all HMMWV winches I have ever seen are 24 VDC not 12 VDC (like your jeep). So you may have to make sure you put a 12 VDC motor on it... Just my .02 cents...

so? what's the verdict?
So the verdict is....
You have a winch (12 or 24VDC) but either way, you dont have any money to rebulid it? Got the picture...

winch notes...
BTW: I do have a series 12 motor in my tool box, it's right next to the WARN controller lead that I gave to FastTRX for free last week - because I just dont run a WARN at the moment (great winch though). Ya know, if you would have not been such a dork, I would have just given ya a new motor for free - unfortunaly I had to put a comment out there to figure out what you were runn'in and ya tried to slam me - good job!

warn winch
Well, I'm real tired of trying to help out fools like you. I just got done buying a winch for DJ and gave him the bumper I won in the drawing at the badlands and welded it on his ride for him and did the fab work to make it fit - then offered my garage and all my time and effort to get the motor swapped out that got "hydro-stupid" broken at Lochmundy (yep, you were there). And my garage is still a wreck (for me to clean because I got his XJ running, and he never came back to clean it)... NOW YOU... Well, buddy - believe me when I say, I'm tired of helping out people that want to be dicks. And yes, I have the motor you need - and yes I spent over $400 to help DJ get his XJ back on the road, and he can not even show up to clean my garage (I dont even want the cash back, how about just clean up the mess)... And again - now you... Well, bud - you should ask yourself just who your trying to 'school' before you go schooling - I'm a degreed Mechanical Engineer who works at HUMMER, and yes MOST of the winches I see on the HMMWV line are 24VDC, also at one time I was an ASE certified mechanic prior to finishing my ME degree. Good luck finding your motor...
