haha it's alright. Ahh, an illusion! Those are cool!
Shirley (had to throw that in there), you will build a cage on that and make it a dog hauler! That would be kinda like what my grandpa built for their dog to ride with them on motorcycle trips haha. What else do dog loving retired farmers have to do?

No, it will not be longer, nor have a dog cage. There will be a hitch basket of sorts that sits on that front section of frame that was made to fit 3 rubbermaid tubs. Said basket will sit low enough that the CJ tailgate will be able to fold down if I want to put something longer in the tub. Thanks.

Getting very very close - goes down the road. Probably going to shorten it up a bit.. Frame is done, have to mount basket, mount matching wheel with a tire, accuire Rubi flares & modify, and of course make it legal. Paint and bodywork following silver lake, which is in less than 2 weeks.

once you get the basket on the front, it might help it not look so far from the jeep

The trailer is about as done as it's going to get until after Silver Lake... Basket is painted and installed, temporary Rubicon flares are chopped up and installed, and we shortened the tongue about 15". Ill only be at work Monday and Tuesday - which is about a 1 hour drive total. I plan to haul the trailer around and make sure everything is ok.

Items in basket are for simulation purposes only.

flares look great on there, tongue is a lot nicer, basket makes it look complete, great job, on a side not you better put some safety chains on it before you go

Thanks for the comments. Dave couldn't have pulled it off without you!!!!!!

In regards to safety chains...I have nowhere to hook to on the jeep anyway.. Anybody have a factory TJ hitch laying around?

You could probably just weld a bracket on to your bumper or ball drop for the trailer safety chain to clip onto.

Couldn't have done any of this without Sandfox - Thanks buddy - YOU DA MAN!!
Ok, now it is as done as it will get. Have her all hooked up - obviously empty - but we are Silver Lake bound in the morning. Got the TJ all shined up, got the matching wheel on the trailer mounted, safety chains on trailer, safety chain provisions on bumper, rock bumper with reciever for trailer, trailer plates -, some holes drilled in the basket to attach bungee cords to, think thats about it.

Here is what I am calling my new daily driver - but I just got this finished as well, this will accompany us to the dunes, it will house my brother/sister in law, and their 3 children.

Very nice! I like the xj. If you make another trailer you can attach that one to your trailer's receiver lol. I was hoping to call up Dave Tues night to see if you guys could use some help, but my pinion seal/diff fluid change job took longer than I hoped. ...as usual.

I'm sad to report that the trailer made it to south bend, could have went farther, but my TJ didn't have the guts to pull it. :(. Guess that's getting 4.56's faster than I thought.
